Which food is illegal this week?

As soon as you read that title, you related and chuckled to yourself a little, didn’t you?

We have all been there with our kids, am I right? Your child ate it yesterday. And the day before that. And the day before that. Maybe even for weeks, months, or years. Then suddenly, out of absolutely nowhere, that food is now illegal.

Appalling! Offensive!

How dare you even suggest such a horrendous food choice? LOL

Autism kitchens are truly their own adventure. Safe foods, food strikes, texture surprises, brand-specific preferences, “wrong plate” emergencies, and the emotional damage of cutting toast the incorrect way.

So lay it on me, everyone.

What’s going on in your autism kitchen this week? What food is currently loved, banned, tolerated, or suddenly deeply offensive?

Looks like it's burgers this week (and when I say burger, I mean just the meat patty lol). Brutal because it used to be one of his favourites :(

He used to like the small chocolate chip muffins you can get at the grocery store. Bought more the other day and found a whole bunch of tiny chocolate chips all over the floor. He took a few muffins and picked off the chocolate chips. Excuse me sir, what a waste of chocolate!!!

Omg wasting chocolate is a sin! LOL

It’s cheezies in our house! My daughter is 8, she has Down syndrome. A few days ago she said the crunch didn’t make her feel good anymore. She took one bite and looked at me like I betrayed her lol not sure if the one she tried was bad or what but cheezies are now illegal lol
